DMXReady White Paper
This
project was somewhat unique. Although DMXReady came to use this white
paper as a lead generation piece, its primary audience is current customers
who are considering installing a content management system (CMS). The
target audience is already familiar with DMXReady products, and they have
come to expect value-added extras like web design tips and tricks. Therefore,
we were able to leverage the DMXReady name a bit more than you might normally
in a white paper.
This white paper explains what CMS is, and how designers
and do-it-yourselfers can use it in their own web designs. The secondary
audience -- those whose first contact with DMXReady is through this white
paper -- gets an "insider's view" into DMXReady before buying
one of the company's products.
This white paper has proven to be quite successful with
both audiences. I wrote the whole piece and designed
the layout, both based on the required deliverables set out by the client.

Other Selected Writing Samples
Compciti
Business Solutions needed a PDF brochure that described their
services in more depth than a typical 3-fold brochure could. Not only
does this format allow more information, but it is very flexible as well
-- Compciti can email it to a potential client, print it and send or drop
it off, and post it on their website for download.
On the surface, white papers and PDF brochures look very
similar. Both are used for marketing, and both leverage the flexibility
of these electronic documents. The difference is that white papers tend
to be more problem/solution-centric, while PDF brochures are more like
the traditional brochure.
I wrote all the text, designed the layout, and finalized
the PDF.

We wanted to redesign our website,
make it more user-friendly, and add a Content Management System
so that we could add and edit our own content. Graham found a great
template for us and personalized it by adding new pictures and randomly
displaying our testimonials. We are extremely happy with the way
our new site turned out.
